Honest reviews, quietly protected.
Choosing a teacher is a tender decision. These are the standards we hold ourselves to so that what you read here reflects real experience, not marketing, and so that schools are treated fairly in return.

Our four promises
Verified seekers only
Reviews can be submitted only by seekers with a confirmed booking or a documented visit. Anonymous drive-by reviews are not accepted.
No pay-to-play rankings
Schools cannot buy a higher rank, a better rating, or the removal of an honest review. Ever. Ranking is based on relevance, seeker feedback, and editorial verification, nothing else.
Transparent moderation
Every review passes through a human moderator using a published rubric. We disclose when a review has been edited for clarity or safety, and why.
The right of reply
Schools may respond publicly to any review about them. Their reply appears directly below the review, unedited, so seekers see both sides.
How a review reaches this site
- 1. Verified experience. After your booking ends, or after you confirm a documented visit, we invite you to share your experience. Only accounts tied to that booking or visit can submit a review for that school.
- 2. Human moderation. A trained moderator reads every review against a published rubric (see removal grounds below). We do not use AI to accept, edit, or reject reviews.
- 3. School notification. The school is notified when a review is published and may post a public reply. Replies appear directly beneath the review and are not edited by us.
- 4. Right to update. You can edit or withdraw your own review at any time. When a review is edited, we mark it clearly and keep a timestamp of the change.
What we will never do
- Accept payment to publish, hide, edit, or reorder a review.
- Write, fabricate, or ghost-author reviews on behalf of schools or seekers.
- Reward positive reviews with discounts, gifts, or preferential placement.
- Remove a critical review because a school asked, unless it breaks the rules below.
- Sell reviewer identities, contact details, or booking history to third parties.
- Use AI to generate review content. Every published review is written by a human seeker.
When a review can be removed
A review will only ever be removed for the reasons below, and only after a human moderator has reviewed the case. The reviewer is always informed, in plain language, why their review was taken down.
- Personal attacks, harassment, or discriminatory language.
- Content that identifies other seekers, staff, or minors without consent.
- Off-topic content unrelated to the school, retreat, or teacher training.
- Verifiable falsehoods, or claims the reviewer cannot substantiate on request.
- Legal risk, defamation, incitement, or content that violates local law.
- Confidential material shared under a course agreement (e.g. therapeutic disclosures).
Independence and conflicts of interest
Yogaanvesha earns revenue from booking fees and from optional listing tools we offer schools. Neither affects rankings, review order, or Editor's Picks. Our editorial team operates independently of the commercial team, and any team member with a personal connection to a school recuses themselves from moderating reviews or editorial coverage of that school.
When a piece of content is sponsored, produced with a partner, or based on a complimentary stay, we label it clearly at the top of the page. If you ever see unlabelled promotional content, please tell us so we can correct it.
Report a concern
If you believe a review is fake, retaliatory, or unsafe, or if you are a school wanting to dispute something written about you, please write to us. We aim to respond within three business days, and to reach a final decision within fourteen.
